DNA Extraction Kit

This Direct DNA Extraction Kit for bacteria includes a lysis buffer and pre-filled bead tubes for isolating DNA from enriched Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria in food and culture samples. The kit enables DNA extraction directly from bacterial cells through mechanical homogenization with the provided lysis buffer. Following a brief centrifugation to remove cell debris, the resulting supernatant contains purified DNA ready for PCR applications. The lysis buffer is formulated to stabilize extracted DNA and neutralize PCR inhibitors, offering a fast and cost-effective solution for high-throughput pathogen detection, particularly for Gram-positive bacteria such as Listeria species. The extracted DNA is suitable for sensitive downstream applications, including end-point PCR and real-time PCR.
