Vasoactive Intestinal Peptide Antibody

This rabbit polyclonal antibody is raised against porcine VIP conjugated to bovine thyroglobulin using carbodiimide. It shows strong Biotin-Streptavidin/HRP staining at 1:8000–1:10,000 dilution in rat amygdala, cortex, and suprachiasmatic nucleus. Specificity was confirmed by pre-adsorption with 10⁻⁵ M VIP, which completely abolished staining. No cross-reactivity was observed with related peptides (e.g., secretin, GIP, somatostatin, glucagon, insulin, ACTH, etc.). Supplied as 100 µL lyophilized whole serum with 0.09% sodium azide.
