The major purpose behind the inventory templates is to allow users to keep proper and accurate track of their product stock and inventory. With the use of the inventory templates the user need not worry about lost or excess stock in their stores and warehouses. Every item will be properly documented in the inventory sheet and will be easily accessible for tally.
Companies can cut costs by using an excel inventory sheet for the purpose of organizing their stock. It helps in recording vital information and organizing important data. This information is generally about sales, orders and the stock.
The template is for companies who have warehouses and put their raw materials in bins of different sizes in different bin locations. The template has three tabs—Inventory List, Inventory Pick List, and Bin Lookup. The Inventory List tab tracks the quantity of SKUs in different bins and locations and flags SKUs that need to be reordered. The Inventory Pick List tab allows users to easily locate where to pick up an item and the quantity of the item. The Bin Lookup tab acts as a bin database where information such as size, location and bin number are stored.

Spreadsheets are a great tool to track your stores inventory, list all of your products and supplies and resources, and log whenever anything added or taken out. The only problem is, it can be tedious to update and edit your spreadsheet every time a new product is added to your stock or a new sale is made that decreases your inventory.
A product inventory sheet helps your small business keep track of items you use or sell. Each sheet lists a single product and keeps track of how much of the product is coming into your business and how much is going out. Make product inventory sheets for items you have for sale as well as for ingredients if you run a restaurant or other establishment that serves food. If you make items, such as clothing or jewelry, do inventory sheets for your materials and supplies as well.
